Jyväskylä is located in Finland’s Lakeland District, about 270 km (170 miles) north of Finland’s capital, Helsinki. You can travel to Jyväskylä by air, train, bus or car. Flights from Helsinki to Jyväskylä are less than one hour (and you connect at the Helsinki airport). The train or car/bus trips from Helsinki are approximately 3.5 hours.
