CALL FOR PAPERS NOW OPEN
The 34th ISME World Conference aims to foster global understanding and cooperation by strengthening ties and sharing ideas that promote music education as a culturally responsive, inclusive, and life-long transformative journey. Given the current global reality, the conference theme Visions of Equity and Diversity is a timely reminder of music’s power to unite our humanity while respecting our differences. The conference theme encourages opportunities for dialogue and international collaborations that are thought-provoking and innovative, and that place equity and diversity at the heart of music education scholarship and practices world-wide.
ISME's eight Pre-Conference Seminars also examine this theme through the prism of Community Music, the Education of the Music Professional (CEPROM), Early Childhood, Instrumental and Vocal Teaching, Music in Schools and Teacher Education (MISTEC), Policy, Research and Special Education and Music Therapy.
We look forward to welcoming music educators from around the world to the ISME Pre- Conference Seminars 2020which are being held throughout Finland (Helsinki, Jyväskylä and Oulu) as well as in nearby Tallin in Estonia.
